Error description

• PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  
  
  All customer modifications to baroc and/or map files are lost
  when
  application support for any component is applied to the TEMS.
  Running the following command will cause all baroc and map files
  to be
  re-copied rather than just the k<PP>.baroc and k<PP>.map files
  $ itmcmd support -t <TEMSNAME> <PP>
  
  
  RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
  
  1) Install a TEMS at level 621 or higher.
  2) Install application support to the TEMS for more than one
  product.
  3) Apply the application support to the TEMS.
  4) Modify some of the baroc files.
  5) Apply application support for a product where you did not
  modify the
     baroc file.
  6) Notice that all modified baroc files have reverted to their
  original state.
  

Local fix

• Perform the same customizations to the files in
  <CANDLEHOME>/tables/cicatrsq/TECLIB
  as well as to the files in
  <CANDLEHOME>/tables/<TEMSNAME>/TECLIB
  In this way, when the baroc and map files are re-copied, the
  files
  will not be reverted and the customizations will not be lost.
  
  Ensure that both
  <CANDLEHOME>/tables/cicatrsq/TECLIB
  and
  <CANDLEHOME>/tables/<TEMSNAME>/TECLIB
  are backed up so that customizations can be recovered when
  upgrading
  application support for any product which has been customized.
  

Problem summary

• The itmcmd support command updates all baroc and map files in
  CANDLEHOME/tables/<temsname>/TECLIB, not just those of the
  specified application.
  

Problem conclusion

• Changed to update only the baroc and map files of the specified
  application.
  
  The fix for this APAR is included in the following maintenance
  vehicle:
      | fix pack | 6.2.1-TIV-ITM-FP0003
  

Temporary fix

• Save a backup copy of all baroc and map file modifications in
  CANDLEHOME/tables/cicatrsq/TECLIB. This is the source directory
  from which itmcmd support copies the files.
