IZ65480: TACMD CREATESIT FAILS IN 6.2.1 IF04 DUE TO FORMULA PARAMETER IS TOO LONG

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After IF0004 installed,  The tacmd createsit command fails with
  this error "KUIC02025E: The command did not complete because a
  parameter is too long: Formula=......." indicates while we
  create sit using "createsit" command, but the sit can be
  successfully created before IF0004 installation.
  
  The command the customer using to create a situation is below:
  
  tacmd createsit -s iga_fss_xuxw_selfmtps -b

  The above command works fine with the previous level of ITM
  
  tacmd command that restrict the maximum length of any tacmd
  parameter ( per the -p switch ) to 510 bytes.
  
  This can be recreated locally in the lab
  

Local fix

• Restrict tacmd parameter ( per the -p switch ) to a maximum
  of 510 bytes.
  

Problem summary

• When issuing tacmd createsit and entering from
  command prompt a FORMULA value in excess of 510 characters the
  creation will fail with message : "KUIC02025E:  The command did
  not complete because a parameter is too long:  Formula=..."
  

Problem conclusion

• The maximum entry length for situation FORMULA is 1019 and the
  logic was corrected to check for this maximum length.
