Error description

  • #situation naming conventions in ITM version 6.1 and 6.2 are :
    *length<32 chars.
    *starts with alphabetic characters.
*does not contain special characters and whitespaces.
#In ITM 6.2.1 these restrictions are removed and situation names
    can be upto 256 characters.

Steps to recreate the problem are :
1)Create a situation that follows earlier conventions.
*observe siuation name displayed correctly in TEP.
*observe situation name displayed correctly in tacmd listsit.
*observe out put of tacmd viewsit -s <sit_name> is correct.

2)Edit situation in TEP situation editor in following way.
-->Rename the situation in such a way that even the new name
is according to earlier conventions. click "apply" and then
    click "ok". Close situation editor.
*observe the new situation name is displayed in TEP situation
    editor.
*observe tacmd listsit displays old situation name.
*issue command tacmd viewsit -s <oldsit_name>
    observe this correctly displays output.
    situation definition is as follows:
    Name : <oldsit_name>
    Fullname: <newsit_name>
*issue command tacmd viewsit -s <newsit_name>
this does not display situation and gives error:
{KUICVS005E: The situation <newsit_name> does not exist
    on server <protocol>://<servername>:<port_number>.

The command did not complete because the specified situation was
    not found on the server.

Specify a valid situation name and try running the viewsit
command again. } <==this is where the problem lies.

Note: this problem happens only when the new name given to
situation also follows earlier conventions (which are mentioned
above). If new situation name contains whitespace, special
    characters (eg: "-") or is more than 32 characters;
then : tacmd viewsit -s <newsit_name> works. (displays
    situation).
