Error description
A Call Level Interface (CLI) application may receive a CLI0118E - Invalid SQL Syntax error if invoking a stored procedure using the CAST operator around a parameter marker and if the applicati on is connecting to a z/DB2 server. . For example: "CALL MyProc(?, CAST (? as CHAR(10)))" will fail.
Local fix
Change the application by removing the CAST operator if possible
