  Problem Description:
  TEP Broswer with not run with Sun Java 1.6.0_10 or higher
  
  Detailed Recreation Procedure:
  After the installation of Sun Java 1.6.0_10 TEP Browswer will
  not start.
  
  Files available on ecurep.
  
  
  Currently the tep client does not work with Sun Java 1.6.0_10 or
  higher.
  
  
  Available options:

Local fix

• None.  Originally it was thought that JWS and the desktop client
  worked with 1.6.0_10 and higher.  This is not the case.  They
  will generally allow users to login but after logging in, many
  of the dialogs are blank.
  

Problem summary

• The IBM Tivoli Monitoring version 6.2.0 and version 6.2.1 Tivoli
  Enterprise Portal browser clients do not run with Sun Java
  1.6.0_10 or higher.
  
  Sun Java changed the architecture of applets with the
  introduction of their java v1.6.0_10.  This caused the Tivoli
  Enterprise Portal clients to fail to run.
  

Problem conclusion

• Changes made to the portal client code so the portal client
  browser applet will run if the "legacy lifecycle" parm is added
  to the applet.html file. The java plugin at 1.6.0 has two modes.
  the default mode from Sun is to use the "next generation"
  applet. This feature needs to be unchecked in the java plugin
  along with the changes in this apar.
