IZ40964: MQ CONFIG NAVIGATOR CANT BE ACCESSED WHEN ONLY MQ APP ASSIGNED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Environment: ITM 6.2 TEPS on Linux
  
  Problem Description: When a user is given <All applications>
  permission in the TEPS user application tab they can access the
  Omegamon for Messaging Configuration Logical view. When they are
  assigned just the Omegamon for Messaging apps the tree shows the
  error KFWITM220E & KFWITM347E
  
  Detailed Recreation Procedure:
  
  1) Add MQ configuration application support to an ITM 6.2 TEPS.
  
  2) Create a new user and only give access to Omegamon for
  Messaging Configuration Logical view.
  
  3) When the new user attempts to access this view they will
  receive the following errors KFWITM220E & KFWITM347E
  

Local fix

• Grant users access to "All applications" and the Omegamon for Me
  ssaging Configuration Logical view will be available.
  

Problem summary

• When a user is assigned "MQSeries Configuration" as the only
  allowed application, and assigned the Configuration topology as
  their default topology, the navigator view displays an error and
  the MQ Configuration application is not available.
  
  The MQ Configuration application had two affinities assigned to
  it, AFF_MQ_CONFIG, and AFF_GENERIC_CONFIG.  The MQ_CONFIG
  application was exposed to the user in the available
  applications list of the user administration dialog.  But the
  seed data for the MQ Configuration application used the
  GENERIC_CONFIG affinity for all related objects.  So the MQ
  Configuration application was only visible when All Applications
  were assigned to a user's allowed applications.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code was modified to expose the AFF_GENERIC_CONFIG affinity
  in the available applications list of the user administration
  dialog.
  
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  packages:
