Error description

  • * Environment:
    ITM 6.2 FP01, single box installation

    * Problem Description:
      Clock icon disabled when a workspace belonging to a logical
    view is
      brwosed through a link

    * Detailed Recreation Procedure:
      - A source workspace is showing Current MS Status info
      - A target workspace is showing data for attribute groups
        where historical collection has been enabled
      - An absolute link is defined to navigate from the souce to
        the target workspace.
      Problem:
        The "clock" icon used to define the timespan of the
        historical data to be shown is not showed when the target
        workspace is navigated through the link.

    * Related Files and Output:
      I uploaded on ecurep traces for TEMS, TEPS and TEP at the time
      I reproduced the issue. TEP traces were at first at the ERROR

Local fix

Problem summary

  • There are 2 problems. The first problem is that the query will
    fail when the workspace is linked from the managed system status
    table and the table view is from a subnode type agent. This is
    addressed by APAR IZ39201. In addition to that fix, the
    historical icon is not displayed because the TEPS does not check
    if History is allowable for the query and set the appropriate
    property so the historical icon can be displayed.

Problem conclusion

  • The query is now tested to see if history should be enabled and
    then sets the appropriate property so the historical icon is
    displayed.
