Error description

  • There is no logic in the UA SNMP data provider to update the
No_Data_Tables column when something changes. When the chamge is
effecteda new row is opened and the blank one is left orphaned
and is not removed.

Problem summary


    

  • The SNMPMANAGER00 MIBNODATA report in TEP continues to display a
row for a SNMP application when there are no more SNMP tables
with "no data".  Should a Situation be defined in association
with the MIBNODATA table, there can be resulting 'false
positive' triggering of the Situation due to blank valued 'No
Data Tables' attribute.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A check was added to remove data rows from MIBNODATA table when
the 'No Dagta Tables' attribute is blank.


The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
