APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On Linux Machines Running Linux 2.6+ Kernels, Where IPv6 is
  enabled, In srIfSummary, the srIfSummaryDownInterfaces variable
  is not counting the down interface  "sit0", whose status is
  Shown as down in mib-2 ifTable.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The values were actually counting the entries in the srIfTable
  which often is only a subset of ifTable. Also an implicit extra
  "up" interface was always factored in under the assumption that
  there exists a loopback interface that is hidden.
  

Problem conclusion

• This was fixed by simply making all interfaces visible in
  ipconfig regardless of what they are. Also removed the implicit
  extra count.
