APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• I am running SAP installation test on DB2 V9.5 FP2 (s080709)
  with Sun X86 on a local zone.  When I tried db2osconf, it
  failed:
  
  sapsx2:db2sx1 5% db2osconf
  kopen: cannot stat /dev/kmem
  kvm_open: No such file or directory
  Error: Failed to get kernel parameters
  
  The fix should also provide traditional /etc/system kernel
  configuration recommendation as well as the project attributes
  to avoid the need for the customer to translate between
  /etc/system kernel configurations and the project attributes.
  

Local fix

• db2osconf can't work on local zone since we can't access the
  kernel.  We already know that when we add Solaris 10. That is
  why we added the technote and status that  db2osconf will not
  work in the local zone.
