Error description

• Development APAR:
  The SSM solaris build generates a lot of warnings. We should
  remove these and treat all warnings as errors.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Solaris build process contains many warnings about function
  declaration anachronisms.
  

Problem conclusion

• Changed function declarations or created macros to explicitly
  cast the declarations in order to remove the warnings.
