Error description

  • When binding a large number of statements which include
    parameter markers with db2cap later statements will fail.
    
    The problem occurs when the number of parameter markers across
    all statements reaches 10000 (ten thousand).
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:  CLI applications using static profiling/db2cap
    Problem Description:  db2cap can fail when all statements in the
    application combined use more than ten thousand parameter
    markers.
    

Problem conclusion

  • First fixed in DB2 UDB Version 9.5, Fixpak 2
