APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The logMonX subagent is not retrieving all the description of
  the event from the Event Viewer on 64 bit Windows.  It should
  gather at least 1k of characters and it is not doing so.
  
  
  
  Agreed. While we have not seen this problem since SSM 3.2.0
  (after which it
  was fixed for 32-bit), the customer has provided ample evidence
  that
  LogMonX is failing to retrieve event log descriptions on x64
  Windows, even
  under SSM 4.0.

    "LogMonX fails to retrieve event log messages on x64 Windows."

Problem conclusion

• If the agent is running under WoW64, and fails to find a DLL,
  it tries again with FS redirection turned off. Fix available in
