IZ04730: SUBSTITUTABLE ATTRIBUTE LIST INCORRECT AF USING MISSING FUNCT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Situation Editor is broken. If MISSING function is used,
  the attribute substitution list in the take action command is
  limited
  to a few items. If user changes MISSING to some other function,
  the list remains the same. If user closes Situation editor or
  opens
  another situation and then returns to the situation, which used
  to have
  MISSING function, then the take action attribute substitution
  list
  displays all available substitution parameters.

Problem summary

• Changing column functions after creating a situation can lead to
  missing attributes in the take action tab.
  
  For example:
  
  If you create a situation and change the select a column
  function such as:
  
   scan for a string within a string
  
  you would see a full list of available attributes from
  the attribute substitution in the take action tab.  If you then
  change the fuctions to:
  
   "missing items"
  
  And again go select attribute substitution from the take action
  tab you'll see filtered list of attributes. Now again change the
  function to:
  
   scan for a string within a string
  
  And again go select attribute substitution from the take action
  tab you'll still see filtered list of attributes.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fixed the client so it recognized when the functions in a
  situation predicate are changed from "missing items" to
  some other function so that the list of available attrinbutes in
  the attribute substitution dialog correctly reflect the list of
  available attributes for that function.
  
  
  The fix for this APAR is included in the following maintenance
  vehicle:
