Error description

  • Some features in the "Features to install list" in a custom DB2
install are tagged with the word "mandatory" or "required", but
they are neither. Some features are part of the base install
and cannot be removed; other features are marked as such
because they are a dependency of another curently selected
    optional feature.

For example, when installing DB2 ESE V9, "Spatial extender
client" is marked as mandatory, even though it is only a
dependency of "Spatial extender samples". If "Spatial extender
samples" is deselected. then "Spatial extender client" can also
    be de-selected.
