Error description

  • Declaring/creating a global temp table causes database crash at
fixpak 7a or db2_v82. At this code level we inadvertently try to
create DGTT in IBMDEFAULTGROUP tablespace if it exists. This
tablespace was default tablespace for permanent tables
in pre-v7 versions. Due to the fact that IBMDEFAULTGROUP
is permanent tablespace, an attempt to create a temp table in it
leads to database crash. It is not the default tablespce
    anymore, therefore problem only
happens on databases that were migrated from previous versions.

Local fix

  • Drop or rename IBMDEFAULTGROUP tablespace.
