APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The UNIX OS Agent attribute Shared_Mode in AIX LPAR attribute
  group is defined as a UTF8 string 48 characters long, but it is
  actually filled with ASCII characters.  This can bring to
  errors in WPA agent while warehousing it. Actually all of the
  attributes in this table that are defined as UTF8 strings are
  not really converted to UTF8.
  
  Affected Platforms / Versions:
  All UNIX flavors, all ITM versions since the introduction of
  this attribute group in 6.2.3.

  ERROR MESSAGE: "A value in the attribute Shared_Mode after UTF8
  conversion has a length (51) greater than the column size (48).
  The value is printed in the hd trace file"

Problem summary

• String attributes in AIX LPAR attribute group are not converted
  to UTF-8.
  
  
  The UNIX OS Agent attribute Shared_Mode in AIX LPAR attribute
  group is defined as a UTF8 string 48 characters long, but it is
  actually filled with ASCII characters.  This can bring to errors
  in WPA agent while warehousing it.  This affects all of the
  attributes in this attribute group which are defined as UTF8
  strings.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code was updated to covert the attributes to UTF-8.
  
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
