Error description

  • ENVIRONMENT:

IBM Tivoli Monitoring for System p - VIOS Premium Agent v6.2.2.2

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

The NPIV Port Utilization view might incorrectly display 0
values for Bandwidth Used PCT due the kva.atr file not getting
upgraded in the interim fix 6.2.2.2-TIV-ITM_VIOS_PREM-IF0006.
Also, the Agent Service Interface will not show the
Virtual_IF_Bytes_Rate and VoB attributes.

Local fix

  • After install the interim fix on the TEMS/TEPS, copy the
kva.atr file from the TEMS/TEPS, for example,
<CANDLEHOME>/tables/<your TEMS>/ATTRLIB/kva.atr, to the VIOS
agent system, for example,
<CANDLEHOME>/aix523/va/tables/ATTRLIB/kva.atr.
