Error description

  • running CTS 5.3 with CICS Explorer (Version: 5.3.6.201607222230)
encounters the following problem in the CICS Explorer.
In perspective 'CICS SM', filters in VIEW 'Local Files'
and got as a result 96 files.
Then use 'CNTL+A' to select all files and clicks the
right mouse button to select DISABLE, but nothing happens.
If using less files, the window pops up and you can select
a file operation, like 'Open File', 'Close File', 'Disable'
    and so on.
No message appears in any log.

Local fix

  • n/a

Problem summary

  • In the 'CICS SM' perspective when a user filters in VIEW 'Local
Files' and selects all the files, including some rows that have
not already loaded, when the right click menu is selected
    nothing happens.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS Explorer has been updated so that in the 'CICS SM'
perspective, when a user filters in VIEW 'Local Files' and
selects all the files, including some rows that have not already
loaded, the right-click menu is disabled and a warning message
is displayed in the GUI. When the selection only includes
loaded rows, the right-click menu is enabled.

This fix will be made available in Version 5.3.0.12 of the CICS
    Explorer.
