IV94239: CANNOT RECEIVE PO LINE TYPE=SERVICE WHEN USING SYNONYM FOR INPRG

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A new value (TEST) is created with a synonym of INPRG. A
    workorder is
    created with a service line and has its status changed to TEST.
    A user
    will go to receive the service item but gets the following error
    message:
    
    BMXAA3240E - The receipt cannot be created for the selected row
    1.
    BMXAA3268E - The status of the purchase order should be Approved
    or In
    Progress.
    
    Replication Steps:
    
    1 Log in as wilson/wilson
    2 Navigate to System Configuration / Platform Configuration /
    Domains.
    3 Search for domain called POSTATUS
    4. Insert new Status called TEST with an Internal Value of
    INPRG.
    5. Save the domain value
    6. Go To PO application
    7. Insert a new PO with 2 PO Lines. Line 1 = Item, Item=560-00,
    Qty=1,
    Storeroom=CENTRAL
    Line 2 = Service, Description=TEST, GL DEBIT ACCOUNT=fill any GL
    Save.
    8. Change status of the PO to TEST
    9. Go To Rceiving application and search for PO created in
    earlier
    steps.
    10. Select Material Receipts tab
    11. Click on Select ordered Items
    12. Select the line for Item and click OK
    13. Save the Record --> Material receipts are done successfully
    14. Now go to the Services receipts tab
    15. Click on Select Ordered Services
    16. Select the Service line and click OK
    17. Maximo throws an error saying that the receiving cannot be
    completed.
    
    BMXAA3240E - The receipt cannot be created for the selected row.
    BMXAA3268E - The status of the purchase order should be Approved
    or In
    Progress
