APAR status

Error description

  • Steps to reproduce the problem in Maximo Core app.
    
    1. Go to App Designer -->Wotrack-->check "Edit Mode Enable"
    -->Save changes
    
    2. Sign out and log back in
    
    3. Go to Wotrack -->create a new record --> SAVE changes
    
    4. Click on the pencil icon. This means that the record is now
    locked by you and that other users will not be able to make
    changes to it while it is in Edit Mode.
    
    5. Click Select Action -->Create Service Request
    
    Maximo throws a message: BMXAA8973E - Your credentials do not
    have rights to edit this document (WORKORDER : Site=BEDFORD
    Work Order=1423). Turn on edit mode, or contact your
    administrator to continue. More information
    
    This message means you cannot make any modification to this
    record because the record is locked.
    
    6. However if you click on Related Records tab --> You can see
    SR=1215
    is created despite the record being locked.
