IV92799: ISSUE IN THE SLA APP

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• PROBLEM: When adding Assets or Locations to a Service level
  Agreement by using
  the "Select Locations" or "Select Assets" button in the "Assets
  and
  Locations" tab, the list displays all locations in the system
  ignoring
  a security group data restriction on the Locations Object.
  However, when adding a location or asset by using the "New Row"
  button
  and then "Select Value" on the "Location" field the correct
  number of
  locations are displayed based on the security group data
  restrictons.
  
  Why would the security group data restrictions be ignored when
  using
  the "Select Locations" button vs the "New Row" button.

  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1.GO TO >> ADMINISTRATION >> CONDITIONAL EXPRESSION MANAGER
  2.Create a new condition
      -Expression: :siteid='BEDFORD'
      -Always Evaluate: yes
  3.SAVE
  4.GO TO >> SECURITY >> SECURITY GROUP
  5.SELECT ACTION >> GLOBAL DATA RESTRICTION
  6.Click New Row
      -Object: LOCATIONS
      -Appplication: SLA
      -Type: QUALIFIED
      -Reevaluate: yes
      -Condition: condition created in step 2
  7.Click OK
  8.Sign Out and Sign In
  9. GO TO >> Service Level >> Service Level Agreements
  
  10. Create New SLA
  
  11. Applies to WORKORDER
  
  12. Click on "Assets and Locations" tab
  
  13. In the "Assets and Locations" sub tab, click on the "Select
  
  Locations" button. You will see all locations in the system
  regardless
  of data restrictions on the location object.
  14. Cancel out of that.
  
  15. In the "Assets and Locations" sub tab, click on "New Row"
  button.
  
  16. From the "Location" field, click on the "Select Value". You
  will
  see
  only location records allowed by the data restrictions on the
  Locations
  object.
  
  
  CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT: App is showing all locations in the
  system
  regardless of data restrictions on the location object.
  
  EXPECTED RESULT: Showing only locations records allowed by the
  data
  restrictions on the locations object.
