Error description

  • With Screen Reader enabled when the focus is in a Menu button
    or a Lookup button and press <ENTER> key no action happens.
    
    
    PROBLEM:
    
    When I enable the Screen Reader, sign out and sign back in, I'm
    able to tab across fields and have the look ups and detail
    menus highlight, however when I hit enter on the keyboard no
    action is taken.
    
    
    PERFORMANCE ISSUE: No.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    Enable Screen Reader for the user
    Sign in to Maximo
    Go to Assets application
    When you press tab key the focus go from the Assets field to
    the Menu button. Hit Enter or Space but the menu does not open.
    
    The same does not work for lookup button.
    
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    
    When you press tab key the focus go from the Assets field to
    the Menu button. Hit Enter or Space but the menu does not open.
    
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    
    When you press tab key the focus go from the Assets field to
    the Menu button. Hit Enter or Space and the menu should open.

Problem conclusion

  • With Screen Reader enabled, pressing Enter key on menu buttons
    will open the menu.
