IV90328: VIEWUSER COMMAND FAILS AFTER APPLYING IV77992 TO TEPS

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Some tacmd commands which require TEPS authentication, such as
    viewuser, no longer work once the PSIRT IV77992 is applied to
    the TEPS.
    
    When the user issues the command viewuser, the following will be
    returned to the user although the user KL90402 does exist.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Some tacmd commands which require Tivoli Enterprise Portal
    Server authentication, such as viewuser, no longer work once the
     PSIRT IV77992 is applied to Portal Server.
    
    
    The error message
    KUICVU008E The user KL90402 does not exist on the server
    http://slixip427:15200 appears to the user when they issue the
    Command Line Interface command viewuser although the user does
    exist.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The commands will now set the login username prior to invoking
    the Portal Server login.
    
    
    The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
    packages:
