Error description

  • Classification dialog only selects the classification for a
record if you click on the little blue square next to the
    classification name.

    PROBLEM:

Classification dialog only selects the classification for a
    record if
you click on the little blue square next to the classification
    name.

In Maximo 7.5, anytime that some user was trying to classify
    any record
in Maximo, he could go to the Classification field, select
    Classify on
the field menu, then browse in the Classifications drilldown
    until he
found the desired classification. Once he clicked on the
    classification
name or description, the value was automatically sent to the
    field.

In Maximo 7.6, this will work only if you click on the little
    blue
square next to the classification name. Clicking on the
    classification
name does not actually bring the value to the field. This has
    been
    replicated in 7.6 versions

    PERFORMANCE ISSUE: No

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    1. Open Maximo as maxadmin
    2. Go to any app where you can classify records, such as Assets
    3. If you chose Assets app, then go to Specification tab and
    try to
select a classification on the Classification field
    4. Try to click on the classification name, rather than the
    little blue
    square. (It will not work)
    5. However, clicking on the little blue square next to the
classification name works fine and the classification can be
    selected.

Is this a bug in 7604? Or has the functionality change in 7.6?
In Maximo 7.5 it worked fine.

CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT: Classification is not selectable by
    its name

EXPECTED RESULT: Classification is selectable by its name
