APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Once manually the OOB escalation "OSLCTXNCLEANUP" is
    deactivated, it cannot be reactivated because the action
    group "OSLCTXNCLEANGR" does not exist in "action" table.
    
    This is reproducible in MAM 7.5.0.10 environment.
    
    PERFORMANCE ISSUE:
    No
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1) From "Escalations" application, open the OOB escalation
    "OSLCTXNCLEANUP" and deactivate it.
    
    2) Then try to activate it again but the following
    error appears.
    
    BMXAA1140E - Escalation OSLCTXNCLEANUP cannot be
    activated because escalation point 1 has no actions
    or notifications defined.
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    Cannot activate the escalation "OSLCTXNCLEANUP".
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    The escalation "OSLCTXNCLEANUP" should be activated
    without any errors.

Local fix

  • 1) From "Actions" application, click "New Action" button.
    
    2) Specify the following values.
    
    Action: OSLCTXNCLEANGR
    Description: Action group to purge records from
    oslctransaction table
    Object: OSLCTRANSACTION
    Type: Action Group
    Accessible From: Escalation
    
    3) Click Save then the action "OSLCTXNCLEANUP" is
    automatically added in "Members" section.
    
    4) From "Escalations" application, open
    "OSLCTXNCLEANUP" escalation.
    
    5) Select "Activate/Deactivate Escalation" from More Actions.
