  ABSTRACT:             CANDLEHOME/config/hd.environment ignored
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  After 6.30.05.00, overrides specified in
  CANDLEHOME/config/hd.environment are ignored on some platforms.
  The
  symptom exists on systems where the cat command resides in /bin
  (vs. /usr/bin).
  
  RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Install the HD agent (Warehouse Proxy).
  
  2. Create CANDLEHOME/config/hd.enviroment with a valid
  assignment:
     TESTVARIABLE=testvalue
  
  3. Start the agent.
  
  4. Check for the variable from step 2 in CANDLEHOME/logs/hd.env.
  

Local fix

• Add "/bin" to the PATH entry in CANDLEHOME/config/hd.ini. The
  original entry looks like this:
  
     PATH=/usr/bin:$CANDLEHOME$/$BINARCH$...
  
  It should look like this:
  
     PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:$CANDLEHOME$/$BINARCH$...
                   -----
  

Problem summary

• Warehouse Proxy Agent (WAP) configuration ignores
  config/hd.environment on Linux/UNIX
  
  When starting the WPA agent, any variables defined in the
  config/hd.environment file are ignored.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code was changed to process the config/hd.environment file
  on all Linux/UNIX platforms when starting the agent.
  
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
