IV79189: DIRECT PRINT REPORT WILL BE EXECUTED AGAINST ALL RECORDS CAUSES THE SYSTEM TO THROW OUT OF MEMORY ERRORS AND HUNG THREADS

Error description

• System will throw out of memory errors and hung threads causes
  the JVM to crash when doing Direct Print.
  PROBLEM:
  Direct Print does not handle resend of request properly. If
  due to some reason the load balancer resends a request then the
  report will be executed against all records causes the system
  to crash.
  PERFORMANCE ISSUE:  Yes
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  Have an environment with a load balancer and millions of work
  order records. The load balancer should be set to resend the
  request after 20 seconds if it does not receive a reply.
  Do Direct Print of WorkOrder of 200 records (basically it should
  execute for more than 20 seconds). Now the load balancer will
  resend the request after 20 seconds and that request will
  execute the report with all records in the database and the
  System might throw an out of memory error or it will become very
  slow.
  CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
  The system crashes.
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  The system should not crash when direct print for small number
  (10-100) of records are done.
