IV75571: TWL WIDGETS SOMETIMES NOT FORMATTED CORRECTLY

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Metrics returned from the data provider to the DASH TWL widgets
  are sometimes not correctly fomatted when the integer is used as
  a percentage value.
  
  RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
  The I5OS ITM agent uses a range parameter in their ODI file of
  10000
  
  
  *RANGE: 10000
  
  The ITM data provider uses the range value to populate the
  "valueMax" propertie in the payload sent.
  
  
  This range is calculated by the twl widget via the following
  formula.
  
  
  
  <value>/10000 * 100
  
  
  The end result after scale is applied is an incorrect
  percentage.
  

Local fix

• Local fix is to change the application ODI file attribute
  definition from a range of 10000 to 1000. Keep in mind that
  changing the ODI may not work for all agent attributes that use
   an integer that needs to be presented as a percentage, it all
  depends on the value returned for that integer column.
  

Problem summary

• Some attributes incorrectly scaled in the JAZZ/sm UI (DASH). The
   problem was orginally reported by the KI5 agent.  The Jazz/sm
  widgets use the valueMax field for calulation of the scale value
   for integer display.  The IBM Tivoli Monitoring data provider
  was changed to allow for proper formatting on the UI side.
  

Problem conclusion

• Changed the calculation for the "valueMax" field returned in the
   data provider payload for attributes.
