• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You are using version 5.2 of the CICS Explorer creating or
  editing an Customer Event Adapter. The textbox field for "Data
  passed to the Custom Adapter" does not allow a new line or
  multiple lines. All the text must be in a single line.

Local fix

• Use 5.1 version of the CICS Explorer to edit the adapter.
  

Problem summary

• The CICS Event Processing Adapter editor field "Data passed to
  the Custom Adapter" allows a customer to specify the arbitary
  information to pass to a custom adapter in the DFHEP.ADAPTER
  character container as per
  https://knowledgecenters.hursley.ibm.com/cics-external/SSGMCP_VN
  ext/com.ibm.cics.ts.doc/dfhs4/DFHEPAPK.html?cp=SSGMCP_VNext%2F20
  -0-8-70 . This field no longer allows multiple lines of
  information.
  

Problem conclusion

• The CICS Explorer was amended so as to only add verify listener
  if the text box doesn't have the SWT.MULTI style.  This means
  that new lines are no longer suppressed.
  This fix will be made available in Version 5.2.0.4 of the CICS
  Explorer.
