APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Tivoli Portals siutation event console's aged column resets
  to zero  after events age over 24 days.
  
  RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
  Create a siutation event that will stay open indefinitely. The
  situation event console will reset the aged column to zero
  after 24 days.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Tivoli portal client situation event console age column resets
  to zero after 24 days.
  
  
  If a situation event is open true for more than 24 days straight
  the value in the age column for the situation event console will
  reset to zero.
  

Problem conclusion

• The field that holds the age value was not large enough to hold
  more than 24 days worth of miliseconds.  Changed the field to
  hold a larger integer.
  
  
  The fix for this APAR will be contained in the following
  maintenance packages:

Temporary fix

• Stop and restart the situation event that has been  open for
  more than 24 days.
