Error description

  • The documentation needs to clearly states that JDBC Drivers
discovery from websphere is not populating data
 the JDBC data sources use hostname  (FQDNs) and not
ipaddresses, TADDM  relies solely on DNS and does not read the
/etc/hosts while creating
 dependencies between WAS and the database servers.

Local fix

  • Correct the DNS in the environement to use FQDN for name
resolution.

Problem summary

  • The documentation needs to clearly states that JDBC Drivers
discovery from websphere is not populating data
