Error description

  • Asset Meter Reading Single Page application reporting incorrect
    readings.
    
    Problem Description:
    The application has been created against the ASSETMETER object
    with key attribute of ASSETMETERID as a single page app.
    
    When entering readings into the New Reading field the delta
    value is updated with the same reading.  Subsequently the
    reading is saved as a delta reading.
    
    If the meter reading is input via the asset application
    / select action/ enter meter reading. the value is stored
    correctly.  If you add the Meter Reading fields (NEWREADING and
    NEWREADINGDATE) to the Meter TAB in the Asset application and
    the reading is input correctly, the reading is saved correctly.
    
    
    Steps to replicate:
    1)Go to, System Configuration > Platform Configuration >
    Application Designer > Create New Application:
    
    2)Create a new single page
    application called ASSTMETER using ASSETMETER object.
    
    Application = ASSTMETER
    Description = Enter Asset Meter Reading
    Main Object = ASSETMETER
    Key Attribute = ASSETMETERID
    Module Name = ASSET
    
    3)Export application definition and replace the xml with the
    code provided by customer
    
    4)Import the code back into the application and save.
    
    5)Go to Security > security Groups > give security rights access
    
    to Maxadmin for the new application.
    
    6)Go to Asset > Asset > Enter Asset Meter Reading > Search for
    asset number 11430
    
    7)Enter new reading = current reading + 1 and tab to next field
    > Save record
    
    8)Go to Asset > ASSET > Search for asset 11430
    
    9)Select Action Menu >  Manage Meter Reading History
    
    10)Notice that reading has been input as delta
