• Environment:
  IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.5.0.4 Build 20130129-2023
  
  Concerns/Problem:
  
  How most of the customers around the world updates Std cost of
  all inventory items in Bulk using MIF?
  
  If we update the Std cost of Inventory in Bulk using MIF object
  structure, MXINVENTORY, it di-rectly updates cost and do not
  generate STDCSTADJ (std cost adjustment) Transaction in
  INVTRANS Table.
  
  It seems that user can use the out of box Maximo MIF object
  structure(OS) MXINVENTORY to update the inventory item cost,
  but this does not create a Std cost adjustment record in
  INVTRANS table.
  Not like the object structure MXINVBAL, MXINVENTORY's  Inbound
  Processing Class does not call the Standard Cost adjustment
  method.
  
  For the object structure MXINVBAL, the Inbound Processing Class
  does the below function:
  MaxInvBalancesProcess - The inbound inventory balance object
  structure internally calls the cur-rent balance adjustment
  method, and this creates a CURBALADJ financial transaction in
  INVTRANS.
  
  But this does not happen when using the OS MXINVENTORY to
  import Std cost or Avg cost ad-justments.
