APAR Type: Field Approver Initials: mww Severity: 3 Reported Release: 622 Compid: 5724C04VP VIOS Premium Agent ENVIRONMENT: IBM Tivoli Monitoring for System p - VIOS Premium Agent 6.2.2.2 PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The errpt will report a LINK ERROR on a Fibre Channel adapter that does not have SCSI devices. This might occur when collecting data for Fibre Channel attributes. RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Install a Fibre Channel adapter with LAN but no SCSI devices. 2) From the Tivoli Enterprise Portal, go to the Storage--Fibre Channel workspace. 3) Run "errpt -a" and look for "LABEL: FCA_ERR4" and Description "LINK ERROR" with Resource of a Fibre Channel adapter.
