IV61466: NOT ABLE TO DEFER A WORK ORDER ONLY ON THE BASIS OF METER READINGS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• While working with WO Tracking (CM) we encountered the
  following issue and described below are the steps to replicate
  the issue:
  
  1. Crate a work order.
  2. Go to Select Action--> Deferrals
  3. We want to defer the work order on the basis of meter
  readings.
  Enter the required information in the fields- meter name and
  deferred value.
  The Duration field in Calendar Based Deferral section is
  mandatory and by default having value of 0.
  4. Since wo has to be deferred on meter readings basis, so no
  value was provided in Duration field.
  5. Save the record.
  6. Now change the status to Active. While performing this, we
  are getting an error: BMXAM0833E and this error indicates that
  we can not defer the wo on basis of meter.

Problem conclusion

• Dependancy on Duration field removed if Meter is specified.
