APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Agents installed via SDA do not show all report nodes.
    Restarting the portal server resolves the problem.
    RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
    Install KYN (WebSphere) agent
    Enable SDA at TEMS
    Connect KYN agent to TEMS
    Wait for node to appear in TEP navigator
    Expand agent and view report nodes
    

Local fix

  • The problem is due to the fact that the template records for
    the KYN TEPS seed data are using combined static affinities.
    The SDA code in TEPS that reloads the templates only selects
    the unique product affinities assigned to KYN, not as a
    combined affinity. We will be making a change to also select
    templates that include the product code in the template name.
    

Problem summary

  • Some agents installed via Self Describing Agent deployment
    method do not display all report nodes in the physical
    navigator.  There may be zero report nodes, or some number less
    than expected.  Recycling the portal server resolves the
    problem.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Modified code to select report node templates that include the
    product code in the template name.
    
    The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
