IV61185: UNABLE TO HIDE INTERNAL EXTERNAL LABOR HRS COST

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Our estimates are based on Crafts and our actuals are based on
  Labor.
  Maximo detects if Labor is Internal or External but not Crafts.
  This results in a mismatch between Internal/External Estimates
  and Actuals.
  As a result, we want to hide the Internal+External Labor
  Hrs+Cost rows in Work Order Tracking-View-Costs. We also have
  no business need to view this data and would prefer it was
  hidden.
  
  Step:
  1. go to condition expression manager> create new condition as
  below
  type : expression
  expression : substr(:TOTAL,3,6)='ternal'
  2. go to security group > select maxadmin > data restrictions
  tab >attribute restrictions tab > add 4 new rows with condition
  create instep 1.
  WOGRANDTOTAL.ACT / HIDDEN
  WOGRANDTOTAL.EST / HIDDEN
  WOTOTAL.ACT / HIDDEN
  WOTOTAL.EST / HIDDEN
  3. go to wotrack > open any wo > select action > view > cost
  **You will see that WO Totals and WO Package Totals shows
  different results.
  4. go back to security group > add one more attribute
  restrictions for maxadmin with same condition
  WOTOTAL.EXCEEDED / HIDDEN
  5. go to wotrack > open any wo > select action > view > cost
  ** For WO Total, only one records left and others disappeared.
  And it doesn't match to the condition either.
  6. go back to security group > remove all attribute restriction
  created in previous step.
  7. add an object restriction with same condition as below TOTAL
  / QUALIFIED
  8. go to wotrack > open any wo > select action > view > cost
  ** Data is not qualified. no changes.
