APAR status

Error description

  • If the enduser runs deploywsrrapp or deploywsrrbus scripts
multiple times, multiple configuration entries are created in
resources.xml file, which can then cause configuration issues
within WAS.

Local fix

  • Run the script only once or delete the existing JDBC connection
and create a new one.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
It is possible to run the deploywsrrapp or deploywsrrbus scripts
multiple time when deploying WSRR to a cluster via the command
line. By doing this, some of the WSRR install scripts are
appending configuration entries to any prior installations,
which then results in unintended behavior inside WAS when
parsing these repeated elements of configuration. These
behaviors then can cause connectivity issues for WSRR and other
applications running on the WAS cluster.

Problem conclusion

  • WSRR's install scripts have been updated to stop appending WAS
configuration entries incorrectly. This fix is targeted for WSRR
fixpacks 7.5.0.5, 8.0.0.3 and 8.5.0.1.
