Local fix

Problem summary

  • IA plug-in command flow view assumed that if a transfer of
control (i.e. link command) occurred, the next commands in the
sequence should belong to the program, to which control was
transferred. This is true for a single-region command flow,
where both programs belong to one task and hence are displayed
in the command flow view altogether.
When this happens across regions, the second program belongs to
another task, which doesn't get included in the list of commands
shown. After the link to program B, the original list of
commands continues with the commands from program A. The CICS IA
plug-in displays these commands as being issued from program B
    instead.

Problem conclusion

  • The Command Flow view in the CICS Interdependency Analyzer
plug-in (CommandFlowView) was improved. After a transfer of
control from program A to program B occurs, where program B is
executed in a remote CICS system, future commands from program A
will be shown as originating in program A and not program B.
    .
The commands issued from program B, where program B is in a
remote CICS system, will not be displayed in teh Command Flow
    view.
This fix will be made available in Version 5.1.1.4
of the CICS Interdependency Analyzer plug-in for CICS Explorer.
