APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Non-master operator has list of targets for an action (error can
occur on any fixlet or action). Fixlet/action is selected and
then on the Take-Action box, select the "Enter Device Names" on
the Target Tab. Either paste in a list of targets, or even
typing in one individual name, pop-up occurs showing:
Error Taking Action - Access is Denied
.
Error does not occur for Master-Operator

Problem summary


    

  • Error popup displayed when an operator attempts to take an
action from the console.
The error occurs when the console refresh interval is too high
and an operator try to perform an action on obsolete computers.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Fixed in IBM Endpoint Manager 9.1 (fixpack 5).
