Error description

  • The installation of a fix pack for the remote client (RALA) on
    AIX for SA AM 3.2.2 installs a Java on the local disk.

Problem summary

    * Tivoli System Automation Application Manager (SA AM) 3.2.2
    * users installing fix pack 3 of the remote client (RALA) on AIX

    * The installation of a fix pack for the remote client (rala) on
    * AIX installs a Java version on the disk. This is not correct,
    * on AIX the Java provided with the operating system has to be
    * used.

Problem conclusion

  • The internal handling of the SA AM remote client installer on
    AIX has been changed to address this issue. Now the Java version
    of the operating system is used, and no additional Java is
    placed on the disk.

    The official fix for this problem will be included in fixpack 4
    of Tivoli System Automation Application Manager 3.2.2.

    been replaced, the corrected version is
