APAR status

  • Closed as documentation error.

Error description

  • After the 7241 --> 7244 upgrade, the VMControl related images
are not being displayed in the Simple SRM UI.

The TSAM 7241 environment had the Extension for VMControl
installed it and worked correctly.
IBM Tivoli Service Automation Manager -
Extension for IBM  Systems Director VMControl Version 2.4.2

Clearing the browser cache, unregistered and re-registered the
images in the image library did not help.  The images are never
listed when attempting to create a project in Simple SRM.

Local fix

  • You can find the custom_web.war and extract it from the TSAM
7244 installation media, eg:

/media/Apps/TSAM724/TSAMBASE7244/install/PMP/files/applications/
SimpleSRM/custom_web.war

Backup your current custom_web.war from,
/opt/IBM/SMP/maximo/applications/SimpleSRM

Get the custom_web.war from the 7244 installation media and
replace it in the above path.

Deploy the new war using the steps given in the link below,

Then check if the images appear in Simple SRM create project
offering.

Problem summary

  • Extension for VMcontrol v2.4.2 that is installed on TSAM 7.2.4.1
 is not supported in Tsam 7.2.4.3.

Problem conclusion

  • Documented in this APAR that " Extension for VMcontrol v2.4.2
that is installed on TSAM 7.2.4.1 is not supported in Tsam
7.2.4.3."
