    ABSTRACT:             Agent times out during RTEMS shutdown
    processing
    
    
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    After an RTEMS begins shutdown processing, an agent can be
    timed out when the RTEMS takes more than a couple of minutes to
    perform shutdown.
    
    RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
    - start shutdown processing at the RTEMS with many agents
    connected to  it.
    - If the RTEMS shutdown takes a long time to complete, you will
    see  agents being marked offline while the RTEMS is still
    online at the HUB.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • After a remote monitoring server begins shutdown processing, an
    agent can be timed out if the remote monitoring server takes
    more than a couple of minutes to perform shutdown.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed to stop processing heartbeats on a
    remote monitoring server after shutdown processing has started.
    
    The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
    packages:
