Error description

• You are using the CICS Explorer Files view, and switch between
  the local and remote file icons. If the record threshold
  count is reached a warning message pop up box is received.
  This indicates an internal error has occurred for a
  java.lang.NullPointerException.
  
  This error occurs if you select local files first and then
  switch to remote files or vice versa.

Local fix

Problem summary

• A java.lang.NullPointerExceptions occurs while using the CICS
  Explorer Files view to browse FILE resources in CICS. The error
  occurs when switching between local and remote files, when the
  number of files returned has reached the record threshold
  specified in the DEFAULTWARNCNT setting on the WUI.
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS Explorer has been updated to avoid the
  NullPointerException.
  This fix will be made available in Version 5.1.1.4 of the CICS
  Explorer.
