ABSTRACT: SSM LogMonX agent monitoring Windows Event logs can
loose track of the current log position.

DESCRIPTION: The SSM can loose track of the current position of
the windows event log when monitoring Windows Event logs.

* Users of SSM 4.0 on Windows 2003 and below.                  *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* The SSM can lose track of the current position of a windows  *
* event logs and reset the position to the beginning. For SSM  *
* 4.0 FP13 and later this defect only affects Windows 2003 and *
* below. For 4.0 installs before FP13 this defect can affect   *
* all versions of windows. SSM 4.0.1 does not support Windows  *
* 2003 and is not affected.                                    *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Upgrade to SSM 4.0.1.1 IF0001                                *

Problem conclusion

Monitoring has been changed so that the current position is not
reset.
