Error description
IBM Explorer for z/os does not handle mixed case user IDs in host connections.
Local fix
Problem summary
All users IDs entered into the Explorer Connections dialog are converted into upper case before being transmitted to the remote host. User IDs which contain mixed case characters are therefore not supported.
Problem conclusion
IBM Explorer for z/OS now supports mixed case user IDs for those systems that support them. When you create new user credentials, z/OS Explorer no longer converts the user ID into upper case. Case conversion is managed by the host system. Existing connections will continue to work with mixed case user IDs. This fix will be made available in Version 2.1.0.2 of the IBM Explorer for z/OS, which will be included in Version 5.1.1.2 of the CICS Explorer. For installation instructions please see: Ordering maintenance for the IBM Explorer for z/OS, IBM CICS Explorer and CICS Explorer plug-ins http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21380083
