Error description

  • When there is a detailed information for a resource in multiple
Regions, the Properties view for that resource will contain only
one set of properties for just one region.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The problem was found in all the *PropertySource class files
that were used for resources affected by Collection IDs. These
resource properties can be divided into categories by
Collection/Region values. Originally, when a Collection ID is
set, only the properties for that collection ID should be
displayed in the Properties View, and if the resource is found
in several regions in that collection, this resource's
properties for all regions should be displayed. When the
Collection ID scope is not set, then all Collection ID / Region
combinations for this resource should be displayed.
It was found that for some PropertySource files, the Collection
ID structure was not re-used when more than one region is found
for a resource - that means, when iterating over a resource's
regional properties, every set of properties but for the last
    region was getting lost.
Also, some PropertySource files (Events/Exit) didn't have that
logic implemented at all - it appears that these classes were
never subjects of Collection ID properties scoping.

Problem conclusion

  • PropertySource files were reworked, so now for each Collection
ID a data structure is being kept, and when properties are found
in more than one region for that collection, all of them are
being saved to that Collection ID data structure.
While routing this change to the CICS IA Plug-in V5.1.1, it was
found that a declaration for CIU_511_VERSION is missing from
PropertySource files. This causes the Property Sheet to display
incomplete an set of properties. This has also been corrected.
This fix will be made available in Version 5.1.0.2 and V5.1.1.1
of the CICS Interdependency Anaylzer plug-in for CICS Explorer.
