  Abstract:        Autostart entry persists after instance removed
  
  Problem Description: After an agent instance is removed using
  the MTEMS, its entries in ITMAgents<n> still exist.
  
  1. Install Tivoli Log File agent (product code lo).
  2. Start the MTEMS (itmcmd manage).
  3. Configure an agent instance.
  4. Remove the agent instance.
  5. Observe the content of ITMAgents<n>: entries for
     for the agent instance still exist.
  

Local fix

• After removing the instance, invoke
  CANDLEHOME/bin/UpdateAutoRun.sh to refresh ITMAgents<n>.
  

Problem summary

• Agent autostart entries remain after instances are removed using
   the itmcmd manage tool on UNIX and Linux. These entries are
  used by the operating
  system to automatically start and stop agent instances at system
  startup and shutdown. These should be removed when an agent
  instance is removed.
  For example, on Linux one would still see the following lines in
  the /etc/ITMAgents<n> files after a DB2 agent instance has been
  removed:
  /bin/su - root -c "/bin/ksh -c '/opt/IBM/ITM/bin/itmcmd agent -o
  db2inst1 start ud >/dev/null 2>&1'"
  /bin/su - root -c "/bin/ksh -c '/opt/IBM/ITM/bin/itmcmd agent -o
  db2inst1 stop ud >/dev/null 2>&1'"
  

Problem conclusion

• The agent instances are now correctly removed from the autostart
   files on UNIX and Linux.

Temporary fix

• After removing the instance, invoke
  CANDLEHOME/bin/UpdateAutoRun.sh to remove the agent instances
