available on the installation media is lower. Use a newer IBM
Tivoli Monitoring image to install the ACP so that you can
select both 32 bit and 64 bit components." and presses OK, then
selects NEXT instead of Cancel to the next dialog shown, this
leads to a 1628 abort for the current install. The abort

      2. Install the ACP at the level called for in the ACP message
before continuing then install the failing agent. If Next is

    Recreate Instructions:
Install a the 64-bit NT agent then attempt to install a
32-bit agent that has a ACP Component with a lower release than
the NT agent. The error shown in the abstract is shown. To the
screen, reply ok, then Next to subsequent dialog screen. This
leads to a 1628 abort and no other ITM products can be
    installed or removed

Local fix

  • Find the GUID for the product that received the 1628 abort in
it's setup.ini file. The GUID is the ProductCode value in the
setup.ini file. Locate this value under C:\Program Files
(x86)\InstallShield Installation Information and rename it by
adding .old. Once this is done ITM components can be installed,
    upgraded, or removed.
